An index to the twelve volumes in the Society�s Upper Library covering over 57,000 births, deaths and marriages of persons named in the 1999 or 2003 editions of Burke�s Peerage together with any corrections or additions noticed on the way. The period covered is mainly 1999-2010.

Please remember that most of the people named are still living - the information being taken from collections of newspaper cuttings in the possession the compiler.

This Index reflects the enormous changes to relationships nowadays and many surnames are �foreign� to these islands; also a very large number of persons names are known other than by their first surname: this is simplified by copious cross- referencing in this Index. In addition persons - particularly married women - are indexed under every surname known to have been held by them.

This Index contains three main entries

- The Surname
- The Forename(s)
- The Reference showing the series year (1999 or 2003), the volume number in that series and the item number in that volume; each volume is also indexed
When using the volumes always have the entry in Burke�s Peerage to hand as information is seldom duplicated.
